1. Who we are

Dream Gently (“we”, “us”) is operated by Dream Gently (轻梦), Sdn. Bhd.（马来西亚）. Dream Gently is a multilingual dream dictionary and an AI dream-interpretation assistant, offered for entertainment and self-reflection only — not medical, divinatory, or predictive advice.

2. Anonymous by default

You can browse the dictionary and use core features without creating an account. We create an anonymous session so your dream journal can be saved on your device. You only provide an email if you choose to create an account to sync across devices.

3. What we collect

Account data (optional): email and an optional display name. Journal content: the dream text and notes you choose to save. Usage data: aggregate events (e.g. an interpretation was run) used to operate and improve the service. Technical data: a session cookie and standard request metadata handled by our infrastructure provider.

We practise data minimisation — we do not ask for more than we need, and we do not sell your data.

4. How we use your data

To provide the service (generate interpretations, save your journal, show trends), to keep it safe (rate limiting, abuse and crisis-keyword safeguards), and to improve it in aggregate. We do not use your private dream content to target advertising.

5. AI processing

When you request an AI interpretation, the dream text you submit is sent to our AI model provider to generate the result. We send only what is needed for that request. Interpretations may be cached to reduce cost and latency.

6. Storage & security

Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure (database, key-value cache, and object storage). Access is restricted and transport is encrypted. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

7. Your rights

You can export all of your data as a file, and you can delete your account and associated data, at any time from the Account page. Depending on your region you may also have rights to access, correct, or restrict processing.

8. International users

We aim to honour applicable data-protection laws, including the PDPA (Malaysia), GDPR (EU/UK), LGPD (Brazil), and CCPA/CPRA (California). Where these grant you stronger rights, those rights apply.

9. Children

Dream Gently is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
